Our landfall in the Society Islands was Papeete on IsleTahiti (#1). It was then a daysail over to Isle Moorea (#2) where we spent time in the two bays on the northern coast -- Cooks Bay and Opunohu Bay. Our next stop was Isle Raiatea (#4) and Isle Tahaa (#5) which lie within the same coral reef. Entrance into the reef was made at Passe Teavapiti on the northeast side of Raiatea. The deep and navigable water between the reef and the islands made it possible to cruise around the entire island of Tahaa and about two-thirds of the way around Raiatea. Another day sail brought us to the final stop, Isle Bora Bora (#6). Entrance into the lagoon is made via the only pass, Passe Teavanui, on the western side of the island.
