In April of 2005, we left Punta Gorda and headed for the Panama Canal. We crossed the Keys via Marathon (#2) and sailed down the Old Bahama Channel which skirts the northern coast of Cuba. We then picked up the Windward Passage (#3) which brought us in between Haiti and Jamaica and then a straight shot to Panama, arriving in Cristobal (#4) on Day 10. We had an uneventful crossing through the Panama Canal to Balboa (#5) on the Pacific side. It was then on to the Galapagos arriving in Wreck Bay on Isla San Cristobal (#6) in 10 days and 2 hours. |
