    The 2600 mile passage from New Caledonia (#1) to Darwin (#4), took us through the notorious Torres Straits (#2), across the Arafura Sea, around Melville and Bathurst Islands (the Tiwi Islands) (#3), through the Beagle Gulf into Darwin.
